Configuring Your FTP Account Using FileZilla

The following guide will assist you to configure your FTP account using FileZilla:

1. Open FileZilla.

2. From the menu, select File followed by Site Manager.

3. When the Site Manager window opens, click on the New Site button.

4. Under the General tab, enter the following information:
  • Host: ftp.yourdomain (e.g.: ftp.example.com)
  • Port: 21
  • Protocol: FTP - File Transfer Protocol
  • Encryption: Only use plain FTP (insecure)
  • Logon Type: Normal
  • User: Enter your FTP user name.
  • Password: Enter your FTP password

5. Click on the Transfer Settings tab.

6. Place a tick in the box labelled Limit number of simultaneous connections.

7. Set the Maximum number of connections to 1.

8. Click OK to save your settings.
