Why Cant I Create a POP Account in Windows Mail version 8

windows mail 8

The default e-mail client for Windows 8 does not support POP accounts. In order to use Mail, you will need to configure your e-mail address as an IMAP account.

Should you would prefer to use a POP account, then you will need to install another e-mail client. If you have Microsoft Office, then you should be able to set your e-mail account up in Outlook. However, if you do not have Outlook then you will need to download an e-mail client such as Thunderbird.
