Creating an Automated Reply / Vacation Notice

At one time or another, you may need to configure your e-mail address so that an automated reply sent to anyone who sends you an e-mail. Whether you are going on leave or simply changing an e-mail address, the Auto Responders feature will help you to do just that.

Creating an automated reply via Webmail:

1. Log in to WebMail.

2. Click on the blue button at the top of the screen containing your e-mail address and select Autoresponders.

3. Select Add Autoresponder.

4. Select an Interval. This determines how many hours the server should wait before sending subsequent responses to the same e-mail address.

5. Enter your name in the From field.

6. Type a Subject.

7. If your reply will contain HTML code, then place a tick in the HTML tick box.

8. Type the message that you want to send into the Body field.

9. If you want your account to begin sending the automated reply immediately, set the Start option to Immediately. If you would prefer that it begins on a specific date or time, select Custom and choose the date / time from the pop-up box.

10. You can leave the reply active indefinitely by setting the Stop option to Never. However, you can also specify a date / time that the automated replies should stop by select Custom and then choosing the date / time that the replies should stop being sent.

11. Click on the Create/Modify button to save the response.

1. Log in to cPanel.

2. From the Email section, select Autoresponders.

3. Select Add Autoresponder.
