The following steps will assist you in adding an e-mail account to your Nokia E63 handset:
1. Open the E-mail app:
- Tap the Menu key.
- Scroll to Communic. and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to Messaging and tap the Navigation key.
- Tap Options.
- Scroll to Settings and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to E-mail and tap the Navigation key.
2. Creating a new email account:
- Tap Options.
- Scroll to New mailbox and tap the Navigation key.
3. Start setup:
- Tap the Navigation key.
- Tap No.
4. Entering your e-mail address:
- Enter your e-mail address and tap the Navigation key.
5. Enter password:
- Enter the password for your e-mail address and tap the Navigation key.
6. Enter username:
- Enter your entire e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com) and tap the Navigation key.
You will be taken to one of two screens:
- If you see the heading Wizard completed, please continue with steps 7 through 11.
- If you see the heading POP3/IMAP4 wizard, please follow steps 12 through 22.
7. Select the data connection for incoming e-mail:
- Tap the Navigation key.
- Highlight the required e-mail account and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to Connection settings and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to Incoming e-mail and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to Access point in use and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to User defined and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to your e-mail account and tap the Navigation key.
- Tap Back.
8. Select the data connection for outgoing e-mail:
- Scroll to Outgoing e-mail and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to Access point in use and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to User defined and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to your e-mail account and tap the Navigation key.
- Tap Back twice.
9. Enter sender name (this is the name which will appear next to your e-mail address):
- Scroll to User settings and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to My name and tap the Navigation key.
- Enter your name and tap the Navigation key.
- Tap Back.
10. Choosing your settings for the automatic retrieval of e-mail:
- Scroll to Automatic retrieval and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to E-mail retrieval and tap the Navigation key.
- Highlight Enabled, Only in home netw. or Disabled and tap the Navigation key.
- If you select Enabled or Only in home netw. then tap the Navigation key to confirm.
11. Exit
- Tap the Menu key to return to standby mode.
12. Select the account type:
- Scroll to POP3/IMAP4 and tap the Navigation key.
- Tap the Navigation key to confirm.
- Scroll to POP3 and tap the Navigation key.
13. Enter your incoming server:
- Enter mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com) and tap the Navigation key.
14. Turn off encryption of incoming e-mail:
- Scroll to None and tap the Navigation key.
15. Enter outgoing server
- Key in mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com) and tap the Navigation key.
16. Turn off encryption of outgoing e-mail:
- Scroll to None and tap the Navigation key.
17. Enter the outgoing port:
- Key in 587 and tap the Navigation key.
- Tap the Navigation key.
18. Select the data connection for incoming e-mail:
- Highlight the required e-mail account and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to Connection settings and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to Incoming e-mail and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to Access point in use and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to User defined and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to your e-mail account and tap the Navigation key.
- Tap Back.
19. Select the data connection for outgoing email:
- Scroll to Outgoing e-mail and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to Access point in use and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to User defined and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to your e-mail account and tap the Navigation key.
- Tap Back twice.
20. Enter sender name (this is the name which will appear next to your e-mail address):
- Scroll to User settings and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to My name and tap the Navigation key.
- Enter your name and tap the Navigation key
- Tap Back.
21. Select setting for automatic retrieval of e-mail:
22. Exit:
- Scroll to Automatic retrieval and tap the Navigation key.
- Scroll to E-mail retrieval and tap the Navigation key.
- Highlight Enabled, Only in home netw. or Disabled and tap the Navigation key.
- If you select Enabled or Only in home netw. tap the Navigation key to confirm.
- Tap the Menu key to return to standby mode.
