If you are looking to create a website, but find that you do not want to use an online Content Management System (CMS), then you will need to obtain your own website creation software.
A variety of proprietary packages, such as Adobe Dreamweaver, can be purchased online or from your local computer store. Free web design software can also be found online using a search engine like Google or Bing.
In addition to a website creation program, you will need a FTP client. This software enables you to connect to the web server, using the FTP / cPanel login information that we provide you with, so that you can upload your website files. Many website creation packages include this feature.
Should your web design software not include FTP functionality, there are a number of FTP programs, such as CoreFTP and FileZilla which can be downloaded at no charge.
More information on uploading your website via FTP is available here.
